The
Museum is housed in a former historic church and the churchyard
has been transformed into a 17th century style knot garden filled
with plants of the period. The tombs of Captain Bligh of the Bounty
and the Tradescant family (17th century royal gardeners and plant
hunters) remain in the graveyard.
The
Museum displays a fascinating collection of old tools telling the
story of gardens of the past and the plant hunters and designers
who created them.
The
Museum shop sells a wide range of cards, books and gifts.
