Jack
the Ripper haunts - The East End - Local Pubs - 19th Century London
- Floodlit London - Fish & Chip dinner option
JACK THE RIPPER - The late summer of 1888 brought terror to
the mean streets of the East End as the mysterious killer of five
prostitutes brought notoriety to the district as well as becoming
the most famous criminal in British history. This unusual and fascinating
tour takes you to some of the actual murder sites as well as visiting
one of the pubs that Jack may have used to select his victims. You
will also hear of life in the squalid East End at the time and learn
much more about London's murkier past, but more vivid will be the
evocative images you will receive of the fear and the distress of
the occupants of London's twilight world in the late 19th century.
THE
TEN BELLS PUB
- A typical East End pub made infamous since Jack used to select and
follow his victims from here. You will have time to try out one of
our famous beers or ales.
FLOODLIT LONDON - During the evening
we shall pass some of the famous sights of London that look so different
at night.
THE ALBERT PUB - Our last stop for the
evening. The pub is chosen for its friendliness and a superb choice
of food. Those who have chosen the dinner option will be able to sample
out Fish & Chips dinner followed by apple pie and ice cream. A good
finish to a fun evening. Clients should be aware that this tour involves
a fair amount of walking and should dress accordingly.
This tour is not suitable for children. |
